Challenges
Implementing a refurbishment project involved adding a 2 level extension whilst also refurbishing the public spaces, all while the hotel was still under operation. Part of PPMGA's Brief included facilitating planning approval, in conjunction with the project team.
Solutions
PPMGA went to great lengths to select the ideal project team of consultants for the client and their project. PPMGA ensured our contract negotiation skills were leveraged for the client to ensure contract documentation and administration benefitted the project. Finally, PPMGA made sure the programme was fully explored to ensure gains were identified and risks dealt with.
Results
The project was able to be delivered within the budget and to programme, whilst continuing to trade at expected levels. The project won the AHA award for 'Best Redeveloped Hotel in Australia' that year.
